No.228 「Migraine/50’s year old women」

A woman in her 50’s visited Dr. K yesterday who had a terrible migraine on the right side.  She had tried various kinds of medication, however, nothing helped her. She searched and found Connect Chiropractic Family Office. The pain she felt was about 9 out of 10 with VAS during the day. When Dr. K checked her spine, he discovered the second and fifth cervical vertebra were misaligned. Because of this, her nerve system might be getting over-stimulated.  She did not have any other subluxations at the time. As the patient did not like to hear “Popping-Sound” from her neck, Dr. K decided to adjust her on the Thompson table. This technique uses a drop table with segments that can be lifted up and dropped when a chiropractor applies thrust. The drop allows gravity to assist and work in combination with the manual adjustment and provide an adjustment lighter than some other techniques. After adjustment, her migraine was decreased to a 2 out of 10 with VAS. Dr. K told her to re-visit tomorrow so her update will be in the next blog.
